I was flipping channels the other day and an image of the black beach at Vik (my favorite place in Iceland!) flashed across the screen. I instantly recognized the troll rocks :)
Anyway for those of you heading to Iceland, do check out the Dentyne Ice - Iceland Commercial. It really captures the beauty of Iceland. Much better than the Dharma Initiative-esque ones on the Iceland tourism site! Haha!
Here's a screen capture of the commercial. Love!!! Perhaps you may recognize the other places in Iceland featured. Please post it in my comments box, I would love to know!

Craziest thing ever! My boyfriend and I travelled to Iceland 1 year ago and ended up shooting some pictures at Vik. Tonight we were watching T.V. and the Dentyne commercial with this pic flashed across the screen. I jumped up and recognized the rocks. What an amazing country!!!
Hi Leigh, that was exactly the same reaction from me! LOL!
We were lucky enough to have lived there for 2 1/2 years while my husband was in the military. I wish like crazy we were still there! That country is amazing and gorgeous. I too loved Vik. I was able to bring back some black sand and gray and black rocks. I have them displayed in a vase. While we were there they filmed parts of Flag of our Fathers. Top Gear also filmed a segment there which shows tons of Iceland.
Oh, I knew it! I went there 2 years ago for my honeymoon. I was really excited to see the commercial and came on here to google it and find out if it was really Iceland.
hey! i love iceland too, can anyone tell me where the open air swimming pool is at minute 00:12 ??
seljavallalaug, google it. Went there last year (and going again soon). It's a pool built into the side of a mountain. Most incredible, beautiful thing (and HOT)!!
